“And the Lord called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst called me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child.” 1 SAMUEL 3:8
| O |
h Lord…let us recognize your voice, beyond all doubt, when you call us. Silence the world around us until we receive your word. We seek to walk in faith all the days in our path. Forsake us not, Father, when we go astray in our delusions. Awaken us. Draw us back to you. Amen.
And how can we be sure that indeed we heard from you, unless you provide us the certainty? My sheep hear My voice. Draw us, Lord, from the dark hold of this present world, into the marvelous light in your bosom.
They labor in vain who seek you not. They are builders who confuse quicksand for a firm foundation. How long will they offer you a mere cup of water, you who give us the rivers, the ocean, and the richness of the earth?
Our trust is in you, firm as an oak tree. Nourish it each day with the morning dew of your Holy Spirit.
