“Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called.” JUDE 1:1

e live so invested in the identity of our flesh, that we forget our soul. Before our destiny there must come nakedness. A putting away of all fleshly things: everything that has been added to us by men, life, and the devil. There must come an honest self-encounter, then an encounter with God –not necessarily in that order. We are more than transient beings trapped in this planet of sorrows. We are more than slaves of sin, blinded by our ego and our collective delusions.
Sanctified means set apart, consecrated, and it also means blessed. We are blessed to hear the Spirit of the living God; blessed to see with understanding; to reveal that which is hidden, to know rather than guess...let us soar in revelation, dear God, that we may surrender in your loving arms once and forever.
Preserved in Jesus Christ. Preserved in His blood, which is to say covered by love. How else to live, oh Lord, if not under the shadow of your wings? Dear God draw all men to you this precious Sunday. Let us listen to your call, and answer. Receive us Lord with open arms. Look not to the filth in the rags of our flesh, look to the longing heart. Look to the mess we have made of ourselves –and our world-, because we turned away from you. Come now…and call…preserve…sanctify us. Amen.
