Seeking God in ZEPHANIAH

“The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.” ZEPHANIAH 3:17

W

hat a comfort to know that the Lord is in our midst, that He does not forsake us in our afflictions. When we fail to discern a way out of our troubles and our faith shivers, His spirit reminds us to trust in His deliverance. He has brought us this far, and the journey does not end here. Our Lord rejoices in the fulfillment of His word in our lives. Why continue to doubt His providence? Let us embrace the strength He grants us to overcome our present hurdles. Remember the hours of victory in your darkest moments. Relish the fellowship, the closeness you felt with God the first time you realized it was His hand pulling you through. Any bondage that holds you captive will soon pass away. The same power that led Jesus to triumph over the world dwells within you right now.

What is the depth of your trust in Him? Could it be that this is the moment when your faith is tested? Will you keep your soul focused on God as you walk step-by-step in the path He laid out before you? Will you continue walking with Him in absolute surrender to His good plans for you? Let not spirits of fear or doubt pierce your heart. There is a purpose behind the uncertainty you are facing. Rest in His love; soak your mind with the Word of life that sustains you, fills you with joy. Do the thing. Take the next step. Keep moving forward. Pray. Praise. When was the last time you lifted His name in praise and sang a song to the Lord? Last Sunday? Would you be pleased with an intimate relationship that shares love only once a week?
