Seeking God in MARK

“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

any of us struggle with challenges we have prayed about over and over. Either we have failed to realize how God already answered those prayers, or we are still struggling because we lack faith. Believe is the key word for us to receive what we ask for…it means trust. James said let not a man who doubts think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. Faith is like plutonium, only a bit of it can produce enormous results; without it, nothing happens. Our faith pleases God,infinitely more than our weight in gold. But how can we develop faith unless we expect something from Him? We must hold on to His promises and claim them as our own.

Miracles do happen. Awake each day looking for signs of His providence. Realize His hand at work everywhere around you. Give thanks for receiving what you asked for. I am a living witness. There is one specific prayer I wrote on a piece of paper about five years ago, and saved it between the pages of my Bible. At times I wondered if the Lord remembered that prayer; but every once in a while I bumped into that piece of paper and I felt the Holy Spirit reminding that my petition was important to Him. As I write today, the fulfillment of that prayer is well underway. The Lord orchestrates natural and supernatural elements to address the hope of His beloved. His answers are all around us, but we must observe that the wisest way to ask anything of Him is in absolute surrender to His will. Our natural tendency is to ask for things that we are better off without. If you really trust God, let Him guide your prayers...Nevertheless, not my will, but thine will be done.
