Seeking God in PROVERBS

“But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.” PROVERBS 2:22

s soon as you rise up in faith, and begin to make a difference in your sphere of influence, there will be some commotion in the enemy’s camp. The enemy seldom launches a direct attack when all we do is keep Jesus to ourselves. Selfish, lukewarm Christianity does not win souls to Christ. “Why bother,” thinks our enemy. Our Lord commanded us to spread the gospel, to bear witness of His name. He came to save the world, not to save a few and let them sleep while others perish. We are so skilled in sharing what we love, our favorite foods, places, even our dreams. Why not share the most important person in our lives –Jesus? Why not look at every single person out there in the woods of darkness as someone our savior died for? Why not at least extend an invitation lest they perish because we were too lazy, or did not care? Sometimes all it takes is a tiny act of love to turn a life around.

You are the chosen one. Do not turn to your neighbor, your church, your spouse, or even your children. There is a purpose God placed in your heart for you to accomplish. Fear not. Let Him guide you to the place where you impact others with the love of Jesus. Be a witness. Love others. That’s the beauty of our faith, and the simplicity of His command. Will there be opposition? Of course, that is a sign that you are on the right path. Let your light shine, nonetheless. He gives us power and authority to carry out our assignment. Today’s scripture reminds us that our enemies are already defeated. Go forth, then, and lead souls to Christ.
