“Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD” JOB 1:21

he blameless and upright man becomes a target simply by his reverence to God. There is no use in trying to understand why certain trials come upon us once we realize our identity. You are a beacon in the land of darkness, and your opponent is fighting more than just you. Job’s trials were the absolute worse any man can bear: loss of his loved ones, his health, and wealth; yet God warned the enemy to spare Job’s life. Our good Lord knows our limits, he is mindful of our deep strength although we might not have discovered it within ourselves. Peace inundates the heart of the believer that surrenders to His wisdom in spite of hardship. Notice that the devil could not touch Job unless God allowed it.
Blessed be the name of the LORD, naked does not mean deprived. He placed in our heart even the faintest memory of Him, and sent us into this world that we may live in fellowship with His Spirit. We are never alone in our ordeals, and we are certainly not helpless. We waste years of our lives chasing material goods and pleasures, only to find ultimate fulfillment in the quietness of His bosom. What profits a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul? Our priority, and our victory, rests in Christ Jesus. In Him we have power to endure, power to endure, and power to succeed. Next time you feel overwhelmed with troubles, remember the love of Him who gave His son for you, and remember to bless His name. Abide in Him. Let faith guide you through the rocky seasons in life, and into the resting place in His presence.
